We are focused on producing versatile sport dogs that are a pleasure to live with. Our primary purpose is cultivating the herding instinct and ability, but we have had success in many other sports as well!
While we may occasionally have puppies that are best suited for pet-only homes, that is not our goal. We are not breeding for dogs that are content to walk around the neighborhood once or twice a day. We are breeding for dogs that are fun, competitive, and intelligent. They will need a proper and consistent outlet for physical and mental energy, such as dog sports.
We welcome newcomers to dog sports, juniors, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ with open arms. We’re here to help others enjoy dogs and the incredible things they’re capable of, not exclude based on prejudice.

Breeding Versatile Sport Dogs
There’s nothing quite like the endorphin rush of that first ribbon earned. The teamwork, hours of practice, and courage to even show up cannot be understated. It’s nerve-wracking to enter a sport and show off what you’ve worked so hard for! It’s much easier to enter those trials when you have a great teammate.
While we cannnot produce a dog fit for every sport, we strive to produce a dog you can take into most venues confidently. Good nerves, strong drives, and healthy bodies are our goals. We’ll do our best to set you up for success in your aspirations!
Not only are we producing the dogs to compete with, we’re actively involved in local and national clubs to help put events on. Current members of Buckhorn Valley Kennel Club, Continental Divide Herding Association, and GSDCA. Additionally, Lauren is in the process of becoming an AKC herding judge! We want everyone to have opportunities to meet and compete, so we’re doing our part to ensure trials take place!

Freyja is the backbone of Brisingamen Shepherds, without her this kennel would not exist.
It is difficult to put into words what Freyja is, but exemplary comes close. She is a wonderful companion and a serious competitor, I couldn’t ask for a better dog to have on my team. Whatever game we play, she’s there to win. Away from the trial field, she’s a delightful companion and pet. Her off-switch is *chef’s kiss* perfection.

Words cannot describe how excited for this litter I am! Dante is an exemplary stud showcasing work ethic, a clear head, and a perfect off switch. He is able to live loose in the house with intact dogs and bitches without issue. He is social, clean, and easy to live with. In fact, I enjoyed him so much after meeting him person I (only half jokingly) asked to buy him for myself.
He has a full littermate herding and doing very well, as well as multiple half siblings (from both sire and dam) that are either herding at advanced level or showing true instinct as puppies.
I fully expect these puppies to be social, clean, easy to live with, with a desire to work until the job is done. I will be testing puppies on stock before any placements are made. Preference will go to homes that are actively trialing and titling their dogs. Applications are open for this litter at this time.
